Secret Path Project
In October, students in Music 112 and 122 watched "Secret Path", which is a collaboration between Gord Downie (from The Tragically Hip) and artist Jeff Lemire. Gord Downie was inspired by the story of a young Indigenous child who died trying to escape a residential school in Ontario. You can learn more about Secret Path here.
After watching and discussing the film, students were challenged to write a song that connected with "Secret Path", either through theme or musical style.
Katy Doucette - "Home"
Tanner Killam and Ryan McDermott - "Path to Nowhere"
