Music 11 & 12
For students who took Music 112 first semester and are continuing with Music 122.
Let's start with a review of some concepts that were covered in Music 112. Most of these exercises will include Bass Clef. If you forget how to read that, hop on over to the Music 10 tab for those materials.
Key Signatures
Here is a video on the Circle of Fifths
Now for a refresher on identifying Major and Minor Key Signatures
Constructing Key Signatures - In this exercise you will be given the name of a key and you will have to how many sharps or flats there are.

Intervals
Remember that intervals have 2 components: the size (which is just the number) and the quality (major, minor, perfect, augmented, and diminished). Here is the class handout for a refresher. There is also this online lesson.
Identify the intervals (size and quality)
Build the interval (you will be give the root note)

Scales
Here is a refresher lesson on Major, Natural Minor, Harmonic Minor, and Melodic Minor scales.
This lesson uses roman numerals to identify scale degrees instead of numbers. 1 = I 2 = II 3 = III 4 = IV 5 = V 6 = VI 7 = VII
Identifying scales when key signatures are given.
Identify these scales without key signatures.
Add the correct accidentals to construct the given scale.

Triads
You can view the class handout which explains how it all works. There is also this handout that gives you a visual in a different way.
And this online lesson that explains all things chord related in depth.
Identify the chords with accidentals.
Identify the chords with key signatures.
Construct chords using accidentals.
Construct chords using key signatures. (pay attention because this one can be tricky)

Seventh Chords
These work similarly to the triads, only there are 4 notes instead of 3. This is how you construct various types of 7th Chords. We did not go over half diminished and diminished 7th chords in class. I am including two exercises that uses them..just for fun.
Identify Dominant 7th, Major 7th, and Minor 7th chords: using accidentals using key signatures
